Cybersecurity Data Lake with Outlier Detection
The challenge
Security teams hold data from many tools but have no single view. Unusual activity hides in the noise.
What we built
We built outlier detection for cybersecurity on top of a central data lake that gathers enterprise security data in one place.
Unusual behaviour is flagged for analysts automatically, so they spend time on real threats instead of manual triage. The system has been demonstrated in a realistic setting.
Business value
- One view of security-relevant data
- Earlier detection of unusual activity
- Less manual triage for analysts
- Security data ready for further AI use
Where else it applies
The same approach transfers to banking, energy, public sector, and manufacturing. It belongs to our Data Platforms and Data Lakes work: one trusted place for data that is scattered across systems, sensors, and files, made ready for reporting and AI.
Task
Find unusual activity hidden across many security tools.
