What does Sparky* actually do?

Three things. Together with our partner AISMA Italy, we build Cogniss, AI platform that puts GenAI, dashboards, reports, and workflows on top of your own data. We also deliver custom data science and AI end to end, from data pipelines through machine learning and IoT, for teams that need something built rather than bought. And we are an active partner in EU-funded research with universities and hospitals. 65 people across Croatia, Italy, and the US, 40+ delivered projects, and 50+ scientific publications sit behind all of it.

How is Cogniss different from an off-the-shelf AI tool?

Cogniss is model-agnostic and connects to the systems you already run, so it works with your data instead of asking you to move it. Every answer is grounded in your own sources, cited back to where it came from, and audit-ready, so you get traceability rather than black-box outputs. You choose the model, from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Llama, or a private one.

Where does our data live?

Wherever you need it to. Cogniss connects to your existing databases and warehouses through managed connectors, and for teams that care where data and inference sit, there is an EU-only private cloud option. You keep control of access, and every action is logged. We treat security as a discipline, and the specifics of any deployment are something we work through with you directly.

Can you work with our existing warehouse and documents?

Yes. We can ingest from common databases, warehouses, and document stores, so it works with what you already have. Point it at your contracts, reports, and spreadsheets, and ask questions across all of them, with every answer citing its source. Where a connector does not exist yet, we build it.

Can you build something custom on top?

Yes, and further than that. You can extend our platform with custom modules, workflows, and connectors, and when a product is not the right fit at all, the same team builds the innovative system end to end: data pipelines, machine learning, GenAI and agents, IoT and edge. We have done this across finance, healthcare, industry, and the public sector, including a GenAI copilot for a media team in EU that cut document-review time by around 60%.

Do you do research, or just ship software?

Both, and they feed each other. Sparky* is an active partner in EU-funded research across Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and I3, and we publish what we learn, with 50+ scientific publications and open datasets. Recent and ongoing projects include HealthChain in digital health, SMART Researchers supporting early-career researchers across Europe, and ESG4PMChange+ on ESG in project management. For a university, hospital, or consortium, we make a strong AI and data science partner.
