AI Robot for Daily Patient Check-Ins

The challenge
Nurses need to know how every patient feels each day, but asking each one takes time that wards rarely have. Small changes in how a patient feels can go unnoticed until they become a problem.

What we built
We built an AI layer for Reachy Mini, the open-source desktop robot from Pollen Robotics, that talks with patients every day, asks how they feel and records their answers in a friendly conversation.

A short report goes to the nursing team and highlights anyone who needs attention first. The system is a validated prototype, ready to mature with an early healthcare partner.

Business value

  • A daily check-in with every patient
  • Nurses see who needs attention first
  • Patients feel heard between visits
  • Structured records instead of scattered notes

Where else it applies
The same approach transfers to elderly care, rehabilitation, home care, and patient education. It belongs to our Customer and Commerce AI work: AI inside the tools that face customers and candidates: shops, loyalty apps, CRMs, matching, and learning platforms.

Task

Check in with every patient daily and keep the nurses informed.

  • Strategy

Give a desktop robot a conversational AI layer that asks about wellbeing and reports to the nursing team.

  • Design

Reachy Mini with Sparky* AI for patient check-ins and nurse reports, validated as a prototype.

  • Client
